This training day does not involve any direct input from the AMBIT training team, but is hosted and run by the teams themselves.
The ongoing practice of AMBIT skills is an important part of the AMBIT approach which avoids a consistently "top-down" relationship to teams that have been trained. To a degree teams are encouraged to develop an
AutoDidact capacity - organising themselves to practice locally, relating the content of their curriculum to local needs.
Assessing need
Local teams can audit their own practice, using the
APrAT (a self-audit tool) to identify training needs. Complete this with team discussion on:
- A "typical case"
- A "hard case"
- A "case we are doing well with"
Where are the practice/theory gaps that might benefit from
LEARNING at work?
Here is a training exercise, helping
AMBIT Lead/
AMBIT Local Trainers to identify what might be the most helpful areas to work on with their team, using the "reflective practice audit" that we call the
AMBIT Practice Audit Tool (APrAT). Particularly note the emphasis on teams working out how they might wish to adapt EXISTING STRUCTURES in their team, rather than add new tasks...
Local training events
AMBIT promotes local teams to become increasingly
AutoDidactic (this is about
Scaffolding existing relationships).
Tips for AMBIT Leads to help embed AMBIT
The
AMBIT Lead in a team is there to support the
Implementation Plan for that team.
