AMBIT Basic Training Day 5 (Review and Consultation)

12th February 2015

Setting and Context

  • This day comes after a (new) Day 4 that is run locally by the team itself - clarifying their own implementation plan, practising locally, cementing the AutoDidact element of AMBIT that encourages LEARNING at work

Principles

  • The whole training is an example of the attempt to find an explicit balance between Respect for Evidence and Respect local practice and expertise
    • Connecting LEARNING at work to day to day practice
    • Acknowledging that there is some evidence that there are some things that must be done... it is not all about freedom of choice!
  • Day 5 is about clarification:
    • ...Of the core AMBIT Competencies
    • ...Of the minimum changes necessary (measurable by an outside observer) to say that "we have tried this out" and are now AMBIT-influenced.
