Learning objectives
For the service heads and commissioners to hear a wide range of what the teams think about functioning, work and their service, in order to mentalize the workforce as a whole, and to think about what needs to change.
Instructions
Option One: Fishbowl• Could set this up as a
Fishbowl discussion with the trainers in the centre and the group as the listeners, change around so trainers hear back from listeners and then feedback what they heard from the surveys thematically.
Or Option Two: Trainers Present for Discussion• Trainers could present as diagrams/graphs of results that are group specific (i.e. commissioners, team leads, frontline workers). And/Or present a word cloud generator (like wordle) to see which words were used most frequently in the surveys.
• Trainers ask group to say what the differences and similarities are between groups, the themes they pick out themselves.
• Trainers to note what themes they saw in feedback and summarise areas for change that the group could then split into smaller groups to further discussion as to what they now think needs to change. Using the questions below as a guide:
- Are there familiar stories?
- Are there surprising results?
- Given the barriers that have been discussed, what think needs to change?
• Trainers to hear feedback and begin to manualize these changes as objectives.
